When Augusta National welcomes the competitors to the Masters
each year it is a sure sign of spring and the beginning of golf season
in the north.
An unseasonably warm winter has allowed northwest Ohio and
southeast Michigan golfers the chance to play in December and
January, plus bonus rounds in February. I was at The Golf PIT on the
last Saturday of February and every hitting bay was filled, plus golfers
were hitting balls from the grass tee and mats outside.
With the golf season rapidly approaching, we have posted the schedules
for theNWO Junior Golf Association,
as well as theToledo Junior
Golf Association. Both of these groups offer juniors the opportunity
to compete and improve their games on the area’s best golf courses.

If you missed it this year, make plans to attend the next
one. Richard and Andrew Brown put in extra hours to make the show
enjoyable for every golf fan.
When the calendar turns to March, MLB Spring Training and the PGA
Tour’s ‘Florida Swing’ are under way. If you are headed to Florida
be sure and stop at PGA Golf Club in Port St. Lucie, Mike May has
