Toledo Metro Golf
Association has completed
six events thus far in
2016. Brian Simmons and
Brian Gerken tied for the
Metro Opener at Ottawa
Park with a pair of 69’s in
the scratch division. Ken
Konoff captured the net
division.
Three players, Brian
Simmons, James Torsok
and Tony Reams tied
with 71’s at Chippewa for
scratch division honors.
Chad King’s 75 net 67 won
in the handicap segment.
At Lenawee Country Club
Brian Gerken fired a cool
69 to win both scratch and
handicap divisions, even
though his +1 handicap
was a net 70.
In the two-day Great Lakes
Spring Amateur Brian
Gerken once again captured
gross with a 71-75 = 146
total. Pat Streb’s net 72-
71 captured the handicap
portion of the tournament.
On June 18th the Metro
headed to Defiance’s Eagle
Rock where Jeff Abke’s 71
was good enough to capture
both net and gross divisions.
Rounding out the month of
June at Tecumseh Country
Club, Michael Dennis
posted a gross 71 for the
scratch win and Richard
Alessi 83/66 took the
handicap honors.
The S.P. JermainMatch Play
