Elevation change and tree lined fairways give the
course that true ‘Up North’ feel, plus bunkering
and undulation on the greens make each hole a
new challenge.
The elevation change is most noticeable while
standing on the 18th tee. A spectacular view of
the clubhouse framed by Lake Superior in the
background almost makes one forget the 100-
foot drop to the fairway below.
Lunch in the Player’s Lounge is a delectable
delight and offers views of the dramatic 18th
hole.
Our group enjoyed the Grilled Vegetable
Flatbread, but the menu is full of delicious items
to satisfy any palate.
A unique feature of the course is a pair of Red Fox
that roam the property and are always looking
for a tasty hand-out from golfers intruding on
their territory.
Sault Ste. Marie is full of history, provides a
gateway to Canada via the American Bridge and
is one of the busiest maritime spots in the world.
