Fantastic Golf Options

AUGUST AND SEPTEMBER

are the perfect

months to venture to northern Michigan and

sample the wealth of golf available a

t Treetops

Resort near Gaylord. When the temperature

and humidity begin to rise in Toledo, Treetops

Resort features cooler weather and beautiful

surroundings.

The resort offers five courses that will satisfy

even the most discerning golf aficionado. The

Masterpiece is a Robert Trent Jones design

which used the natural valleys and ravines

to carve out its classic routing. The signature

6th hole features a 120’ vertical drop from the

tee and a panoramic view of the Pigeon River

Valley.

The Premier Course is a

par-72 and is the only Tom

Fazio designed golf course

in Michigan. The natural

elevation also allows for

spectacular views.

It can be stretched to 6,800 yards, but is

probably best played from the Blue tees at

6,287 or the Whites at 5,857. The Ladies can

also have an enjoyable day on the links from

the Red tees at 5,039.

The Signature Course is a 6,653 yard par-70,

designed by Rick Smith and opened for play in

1993. It is more of an upland course offering

wide fairways and undulating greens.

The Tradition pays homage to the great links

courses in Scotland with traditional wooden

pins and pennant flags. It was also designed by

Rick Smith, opened for play in 1997 and plays

to 6,467 yards with a par of 70.

Perhaps the most intriguing course at Treetops

is the par-3 Threetops course. It is a

1.400 yard par-27, nine-hole course,

but severe elevation changes and

challenging greens make it a must-

play for anyone visiting the

resort.
