If you are looking for a
way to kick off the holiday
season, the French Lick
Resort in southern Indiana
will get you in the mood. The
festivities begin the middle
of November in French Lick
and continue throughout the
month of December and into
the New Year.
Not one, but two giant
Christmas trees adorn both
hotels at the resort. The
lighting of the large outdoor
tree at the French Lick Hotel
was held on Friday, November
18th and the 40-foot tree that
adorns the beautiful West
Baden Springs Hotel atrium
was lit the following day,
Saturday, November 19th.
In most households, the
holidays are all about the food
and French Lick holds to the
same tradition. Both hotels
feature buffets, with the bird
as the main attraction and all
the trimmings to add to the
experience. The chef even
makes a gourmet turkey pizza.
Sinclair’s restaurant, named
for one of the original owners
of the hotel Lee W. Sinclair,
is located just off the atrium
of the West Baden Springs
Hotel. It offers a special
Christmas feast throughout
the holiday season and brings
an air of European elegance
to the resort.
