When Judd Silverman first had the idea of

bringing a professional golf tournament to

Toledo, one of his main goals was to help area

charities. To that end, the Jamie Farr Toledo

Classic and now the Marathon Classic has

donated a total of $9.2 million to 152 area

organizations dedicated to helping children.

In 2015 alone, $582,000 was generated and

distributed to 19 area organizations. Silverman

has set an aggressive goal to reach the $10

million total mark in 2016.
