The Marathon Classic could not exist

without our volunteers. We appreciate these

tireless individuals and their contribution that

make the tournament a success every year.

Mud Hens and Rockets will

roam the grounds at Highland

Meadows on Friday, plus

Imagination Station will have

interactive exhibits for the kids.

On Saturday the Toledo

Zoo brings its ‘Animal

Experience’ to the ‘Kids

Zone’ and the LPGA will

offer a Junior Golf Clinic to

children at the tournament.

The First Tee of Lake Erie

will provide a free golf clinic for junior golfers

on Sunday.

Other Marathon Classic Highlights

The popular “Club 14 Party Deck” will once

again be a highlight of theMarathon Classic. Stop

over to the par-3 14

th

hole on Friday afternoon.

It is always a fun area to view the tournament,

plus it is an excellent opportunity to make new

business connections or entertain current clients.

All active and retired First Responders and

Military Members will receive free admission to

the tournament, plus Military Day will be held

on Saturday, which features military members

serving as standard bearers on the course.

While you are strolling

about Highland Meadows

at this year’s tournament,

youmay notice the large tent

erected between the 1

st

and

10

th

fairways. A new 4,000

square foot media center

will be able to house 60

working media members,

as well as, radio booths for

live broadcasting.

If you can’t make it to

Highland Meadows for the

final round on Sunday, it will be broadcast live

on CBS, 4:00-6:00 PM. Marathon has furnished

the additional funds to give this extra exposure

to Toledo and the LPGA Tour tournament. The

first three rounds, Thursday-Saturday can be

seen on the Golf Channel.

One of the highlights of this year’s event will be

an appearance by Ohio State University Head

Football Coach, Urban Meyer in the Buckeye

Broadband Celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday.

Sixty LPGA Tour pros will join with their

amateur teams for bragging rights and prizes.

Top LPGA Names Come to Toledo

Golf will be an official sport in the Olympics in

NWO Golf Links
