from England, survived a playoff versus Juli
Inkster to snag her inaugural win on The
Legends Tour.
Inkster spends her time announcing USGA
events for Fox Sports and is still competitive on
the LPGA Tour. When she does venture over
to the Legends Tour, she normally wins. As a
matter of fact, she won theWalgreen’s Charity
Classic in March and was the defending
champion at the Legends Championship, but
Ms. Johnson was able to hold on and close
out Inkster on the sixth extra playoff hole.
The Legends also hold a tournament inside the
tournament. The Honors Division is for women
63 years of age and over. Once againAustralian,
Jan Stephenson earned her fourth consecutive
win in the Honors Division at French Lick.
The event at French Lick was once again a
huge success as it raised $200,000 for Riley’s
Children’s Hospital.
If you want to get up close and personal with
the legends of women’s golf, a Legends Tour
event is the place for you. The women truly
appreciate their fans and interact freely with
those that venture out to see these Hall of
Famers in action.
