Pebble Beach $495
Pebble Beach is one of the most iconic courses in
the United States and since Bing Crosby began hosting
his Clambake, it has been the site of numerous major
championships, as well as, the annual AT&T National
Pro-Am.
Pinehurst #2 $450
Donald Ross took up residence in theVillage of Pinehurst
and tinkered with #2 for his entire life. Sandy waste areas
and humped greens make this one of the most difficult
courses in the country. It has hosted several big tournaments,
plus four U.S. Opens, a PGA and the Ryder Cup.
Whistling Straits $370
There are two 18-hole courses at Herb Kohler’s
Whistling Straits, the Irish and the Straits. The Straits,
designed by Pete Dye, opened for play in 1998 hosted
the PGA Championship just six years later. It was so
successful that the PGA returned in 2004 and 2015.
Ocean Course $370
Kiawah Island Resort boasts five championship courses,
but Pete Dye built the Ocean Course specifically for major
championship play. The Ocean Course opened for play in
1991 and immediately hosted the “War by the Shore” Ryder
Cup. Since then the 2012 PGA Championship was won by
RoryMcIlroyand the2021PGAwill return to theOceanCourse.
