placed additional demands on their time. So

they closed the Airport Highway location.

Tom is a member at Riverby Hills Golf Club

and plays in a league. He told us,

“I became hooked on the game, and I enjoy

playing with people I know. I just want to have

a good time and not get too tied up in what

score I am posting. I would like to make my

first hole-in-one, before I quit playing.”

At the top of Tom’s “bucket list” would be to

play a round of golf at Augusta National. The

Masters is his favorite tournament and freely

admits that he watches every minute of the

coverage on television.

He also enjoys the atmosphere of the Waste

Management Phoenix Open with its stadium

seating on the 16

hole.

“Whoever came up with the idea to make that a

stadium hole and create the type of excitement

it brings to golf was a genius,”

he told us.

TomKuron is the perfect example of themillions

of casual golfers that walk the fairways and

greens of the public golf courses around the

country. He just enjoys being outdoors trying

to control his little white ball and navigate it

into the cup.
