However, they support his
chosen career and know they
will get dad all to themselves
after Labor Day.
In fact, Sutton looks forward to
playing the role of Mr. Mom,
after the golf season ends.
He also enjoys coaching his
children’s basketball teams
during his off season.
While at Eagles Landing, Dan
began coaching the Cardinal
Stritch golf team and since his
move to Heatherdowns, now
coaches the St. Francis High
School golf team.
Dan says he loves watching
freshman enter the golf
program and grow to become
young men, when they
graduate in four years. Lessons
learned on the golf course
can help shape a young mind
and the competition makes
each team member a better
student, father and husband
as they move through life.
Dan spent four years
at Spuyten Duyval and
Cottonwood Creek Golf
courses before he accepted
the
Head
Professional
position for Heatherdowns
Country Club in 2013.
Watching Dan interact with
the golfers at Heatherdowns,
whether in the shop, the
range or on the course, it’s
easy to see his passion for the
game. He has spent nearly
25 years serving public golf
in the Toledo area. He is a
home-town guy involved
with the community and the
relationships he has built over
the years continue to reflect
that passion.
With professionals such as Dan
Sutton to guide golf through
the difficult times, we know
the game is in safe hands.
